Will there be food available and/or what are the dining options?

We will have many dining options for guests. Inside the lodge we will have our full-service restaurant and bar Smoke & Timber, a cafe serving coffee and hot drinks, as well as grab-and-go food and a walk-up bar if you're in a hurry to get back out on the slopes. Outside our pizza truck Peaks & Pies will be serving up hot and fresh pizza all day!

Are you open on holidays?

We are open for all Holidays this season! Please note, our hours of operation will vary on holidays.

What are your hours of operation

We will be open from 9am to 10pm 7 days/week. The slopes will be open from 9am-4pm and then 5:30pm-10pm with a break between our day and night sessions to allow the runs to be groomed.

When will you open

Due to project delays we have been forced to move our projected opening date until early 2024. We will miss this winter season, but expect our lodge and restaurant to open this Spring! Please subscribe to our newsletter as we will send out updates on our opening as soon as we have that information!

I purchased a season pass, how do I pick it up?

When you order a season pass online you will need to come to one of our ticket counters inside the lodge to pick it up. Our staff can assist you in getting a photo taken for your season pass and get you on the slopes as quickly as possible!

I purchased a season pass, but I want to add family members, how can I do that?

Our Family add on passes are available at our ticket counter and may be picked up in person after presenting the proof of purchase of a standard Season Pass

What discounts will you offer this season?

We offer discounts for active Military members and Veterans, Seniors, and active Students. Learn more about this on our passes page

Can I purchase a lift ticket on the same day that I want to visit?

Absolutely! Daily lift tickets are available for purchase on the mountain, or can be purchased online and picked up when you arrive.

Do you offer partial day passes?

Our Powder Pass will allow our guests the option to buy a 4-hour pass to be used at any time of day. Learn more about the Powder Pass on our Passes page here.

What to bring

I've never been skiing or snowboarding before, what do I need to bring?

We recommend that our guests dress in layers in order to stay warm and comfortable on the mountain. Heavy socks will work best with ski and snowboard boots. We also recommend waterproof outer layers, and waterproof gloves or mittens. We also have outerwear available to rent if needed!

I have some of my own gear, but I don't have everything, can I just rent what I need?

We will have helmets, poles, bibs, and gloves available for rent separately for any guest that does not have one. These items will be first come first serve.

Do I need to pack something to eat or drink?

We have you covered with our many dining options! Inside the lodge we will have our full-service restaurant and bar Smoke & Timber, a cafe serving coffee and hot drinks, as well as grab-and-go food and a walk-up bar if you're in a hurry to get back out on the slopes. Outside our pizza truck Peaks & Pies will be serving up hot and fresh pizza all day!

Some people in my party don't want to ski or snowboard, can they still come? What is there to do for non-skiiers?

Absolutely! We welcome all visitors to Hatley Pointe. Anyone who is not enjoying the slopes is welcome to dine at our restaurant, Smoke & Timber, enjoy a coffee from the cafe, have a few drinks at the bar, or take a load off in our seating areas by one of our fireplaces. Our deck will also provide a great view of the mountain if they would like to watch the action!

Do you serve alcohol?

Yes, we will have two bars in our lodge, one that is available for walk-up service and another inside our full service restaurant.

Where can I keep my personal belongings while I'm on the slopes?

We will have lockers available for rent in our lodge. Lockers rent for $5/day, family lockers will also be available for $25/day.

Where can I stay/do you have lodging?

While we do not currently offer overnight accommodations, there are incredible options for short term rentals within the surrounding "Wolf Laurel" community, and Asheville is a short drive South with lodging ranging from economy hotels to luxury resorts.

What age do you need to be in order to ski or snowboard?

Children 0-11 may enjoy the mountain accompanied by an adult 18 or older. Kids under 4 ski free accompanied by an adult 18 or older!

Is there WIFI?

Yes, guest wifi is available at no additional charge

What time will the restaurant be open

Smoke & Timber will be open for Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner from 9am-10pm with our last seating at 9pm

Do you have snow tubing?

Right now snow tubing is pending this winter season. We are working hard to offer our guests snow tubing this season and will post updates once it becomes available

Will you offer ski school for local schools?

Yes we will be offering ski school through North Buncombe County Schools for the 2023 season. Please contact the school administration directly to inquire about how to sign up.

Do you offer group disounts?

In our banner season we are still evaluating our capacity for hosting large groups. As a result we are not offering dedicated group discounts this season. We plan to offer group rates again in future seasons.
