First-timers Guide to Skiing and Snowboarding

  • What is skiing?  Skiing is a fun, active sport in which you attach two separate skis (planks of wood) to each foot and attempt to move forward while facing down the slope.
  • What is snowboarding?  With snowboarding, you stand with both feet strapped onto a single board as you travel standing sideways down the slope.
  • Not sure if you want to ski or board?  Skiing is considered the easier sport to pick up while snowboarding is harder to learn but easier to master (especially for those who surf, wakeboard or skateboard).
  • Why do I need a lift ticket?  A lift ticket (or area pass) gives you access to the mountain (slopes) where you will ski or snowboard.  A lift ticket does not include any rental items.
  • What do I need to ski or snowboard?  If you are skiing, you will need a ski rental which includes skis, ski boots, and poles.  If you are snowboarding, you will need a snowboard rental which includes a board and boots.
  • How should I dress?  We offer great suggestions on how to stay warm while on the slopes.
*Purchase your lift tickets online ahead of time!  If you choose to purchase online, tickets must be purchased 24 hrs in advance, after that the online booking window closes.
If you do not wish to purchase in advance you can purchase directly at the walk-up ticket window.
NO refunds on tickets purchased online.  Any changes in bookings are based on availability and require 72 hr notice.  Tickets must be redeemed at the Ticket Booth.  Please bring a valid ID and a copy of your receipt.

*Please note ski area pass (lift ticket) does not include rentals or lessons.

**During early season, tickets (area passes) and rental equipment are only available for purchase in person

ADDITIONAL RENTALS:
